Perry Optimistic on Fed Immigration Enforcement

It has been reported that Rick Perry, Governor of Texas is praising the results of his immigration enforcement talks with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. That's after a steady drumbeat of criticism from Perry about the federal approach toward those enforcement needs and fears that Mexico's drug-related violence might spill into the United States. Perry says that Napolitano, as a former border governor, "gets it." He says, "The border can be secured. It takes boots on the ground. It requires technology."
Perry has appealed to the federal government for unmanned drone aircraft and National Guard troops to patrol the border. I know that Governor Perry has consistently criticized the federal government for what he calls its failure to enforce immigration laws and prevent rampant drug-related violence in Mexico from spilling over to border states. But he struck a more conciliatory tone today, saying he had "a real good feeling" after a meeting with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
I guess that in the mean time we are to set back on our morals and let the Illegal aliens have a wonderful Cinco de Mayo day at our expense. I am glad to hear that she "gets it" but how long before she does something about it. It kind of like waiting for the Astros to do something but all they offer is lip service.

  1. Regarding Issac's blog on Gov. Rick Perry being optimistic on Immigration enforcement, Like most Americans, I support Arizona's new immigration law. Perry has consistently criticized the federal government for what he calls its failure to enforce immigration laws and prevent rampant drug-related violence in Mexico from spilling over to border states.

I think that if you leave your home county to come to the US you should attempt to assimilate into your new country by learning the language and by obeying the laws. I don't think that you should illegally break-in to a new country and then demand your "rights". If you wish to protest, you should do so in English and not by waving the flag of the country you deserted and turned your back on. Also, if you don't like the laws of the US and cannot obey them, then you should most definitely go back home and protest the short comings of your own country. The fact is Mexico has the people, the natural resources and the capabilities to use what it has to become a very rich and prosperous nation. They don't do so because of a corrupt government and an ignorant person. Protest and do something about your own country and quit ruining ours.

I believe that until government agencies do their jobs as defined, at all levels of government, starting with enforcing employment laws in our workplaces and benefits and services distribution, the bail out of illegal aliens will continue at the expense of taxpayers. As long as Congress REFUSES to put teeth in our laws, states will do what they have to do to protect the rights of legal residents. La Raza knows this will destroy its organization and expose it as corrupt as the politicians that accept its political contributions to look the other way. When exposed, people like Thomas will then see that the only value provided by illegal aliens, is to the civil rights groups funded with taxpayer grants.
